Vintage Gouda

 

A classic 2 year aged version of the beautiful Dutch Gouda (How-da) style from the master cheese makers at Meyer Cheese. Full of caramel sweetness and classic Gouda tang that leaves the tongue a little tingly. Cheese crystals formed during the ageing process add a surprising crunchy to a firm cheese that melts smoothly on the palate.  A beautiful cheese full of flavour made with milk sourced from farms in the Waikato.

 

Pair With:

A darker stone fruit paste e.g. cherry or plum.

 

Wine / Beer match:

Match with a fruit forward Pinot Noir (Central Otago, Waipara or Marlborough) or another medium to lighter bodied red varietal.
